My Why
I’m Dolly Wood, the proud owner of Respite Care KC, LLC. This business was founded from both professional insight and personal passion. After working for over 24 years at a large university hospital as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and team lead for trauma and orthopedic rehabilitation services, I saw firsthand the critical need for reliable, safe transportation—especially for individuals requiring wheelchairs or stretchers.
Respite Care KC was created to fill that gap. We specialize in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) that prioritizes safety, dignity, and comfort.
